British Open 2009
The 2009 British Open Golf Championship will be held from 16th to 19th July at Turnberrry on the south west coast of Scotland.
This year's open is to be held at Turnberry for the fourth time. Padraig Harrington will be out to retain his title won last year at Royal Birkdale.
If you're thinking of attending The Open this year then why not add on a couple of days before or after in Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is only a two hour drive from Turnberry and is the perfect location for playing some great golf courses. Maybe include a round at Muirfield as it's only 35 minutes drive or perhaps one of the city courses such as The Merchants Golf Club which is close to the city centre or to the south of the city there's Lothianburn Golf Club.
In addition St Andrews is only an 90 minute drive!
